Time For An Update

For starters I can not believe that time flies as fast as it does...June is quickly approaching and I feel like Christmas just got over and its almost time to do it again. However, I am so happy for summer, it is my favorite time of the year, Minus all the rain we have been having this week!

School is almost over thank goodness...this has been a very rough few months for me and the kids getting used to a new school. Lets just say they have not adjusted they way I thought they would. Im hoping for a more productive and smooth time for the upcoming school year. However I have been giving lots of thought to home schooling them... We will see how that works itself out.

The regular baseball season is over, but Allstars practice starts this week. So back to the ball field we go for another month. I don't mind, I do love to watch Brant play ball. Cheyenne is almost done with her dance lessons for this year and her recital is coming up soon! Im looking forward to seeing what she has learned this year.

We found out last week Larry is leaving June 10th for basic training for 10 weeks in Kentucky. The kids and I will be able to go see him graduate in August and then he will be off to Texas for another 6 weeks. I'm not happy that he is leaving, but I'm trying my best to stay strong and support his decision. I know why he is doing this and I admire him for being 40 years old and wanting to join the military...I just wish he didn't have to leave us for 4 months. He is my very best friend, the one I talk to several times a day during the day and we do almost everything together. We have only spent 3 nights apart and that was because he had surgery and he had to stay at the hospital. So this is going to be a huge adjustment for me to not have him here with me, but I know that as fast as time flies he will be home with us in no time...right?!!

While he is gone I plan to keep myself busy with my photography, which is going great so far. I have been having shoots almost every weekend, plus I did my first wedding last night! Talk about stressed out...but it was fun other than the torrential down pour that made them have the ceremony indoors. It will be a little while before I have the wedding pics on my photography website due to the extensive amount I took and editing...not to mention I have to spend lots of time now with my hubby! I also have a to-d0 list a mile long that I would like to get accomplished over the summer and I have lots of friends and family who will gladly let me sleep on their couch when I'm feeling lonely while the kids are gone to their dads. I actually looking forward to a sleep over at Rhonda's we haven't done that since we were in high school!

For now please keep our family in your prayers: that we will survive without him and that he will come safely home to us in October! I'm putting all my faith and trust in the Lord with this one that he will see us through!

Oh I almost forgot...I have a new niece Miss Layla Jo Hairston was born on May 21st and I was able to be in the delivery room to see her arrive! That was the most amazing thing to watch that little miracle come into the world...Im so happy Amy let me stay in the room during the birth! She is so beautiful and tiny...makes me wish I could have another one. Ill post pics soon, we will be doing her newborn shoot sometime in the next week!
